This User Agreement (the "Agreement") is a binding contract between you ("you" or "User") and Nescience LLC ("Nescience," "we," "us," or "our"). It governs your access to and use of the Prompt Wrangler browser extension, the promptwrangler.ai website, and related software and services (together, the "Service").
Please read this Agreement carefully. By installing, accessing, or using the Service — including by clicking "Agree" during onboarding — you agree to be bound by this Agreement and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. By using the Service you represent that you are 18 years of age or older.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to this Agreement.
Prompt Wrangler reviews the prompts you are about to send to third-party AI assistants and offers suggested rewrites, tips, and follow-up prompts. When you request a review, your prompt text and limited context are sent to our backend service, which uses a third-party AI provider to generate feedback.
The Service is a coaching and productivity aid only. It does not send prompts to the underlying AI assistant for you, and it does not control or guarantee the behavior of any third-party AI tool you choose to use.
We may add, change, suspend, or remove features at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
You are responsible for your use of the Service and for the content you submit through it (your "User Content"). You agree that you will not:
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with any policies, contracts, or laws that apply to you.
As between you and us, you retain all rights you have in your User Content; we do not claim ownership of it. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, and transmit your User Content solely as necessary to operate and provide the Service to you.
Optional sharing. You may opt in to sharing your reviewed prompts with us so that we can analyze and improve the Service. This is off by default. If you opt in, you additionally grant us a license to retain and use those shared prompts for that purpose. You can change this choice at any time in the Service's settings; doing so does not affect processing that already occurred. How we handle your content is described in our Privacy Policy.
You represent that you have all rights necessary to grant the licenses above.
The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate suggestions and other output ("Output"). AI can produce information that is inaccurate, incomplete, or otherwise inappropriate. You are responsible for evaluating Output before relying on it. Output is provided for general informational purposes only and is not legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice. We make no warranty that Output is correct, useful, or suitable for any purpose.
To the extent we have any rights in Output, we assign them to you, subject to your compliance with this Agreement.
The Service operates on and interoperates with third-party websites and services we do not control, including the AI assistants you use and our AI provider. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, not this Agreement, and we are not responsible for them.
Nescience and Prompt Wrangler are independent and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any third party named in the Service. Third-party names, logos, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners, and we use them solely to identify the AI tools the Service works with.
The Service and all related intellectual property are owned by Nescience or its licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal or internal business use in accordance with this Agreement. "Prompt Wrangler," "Nescience," and our logos are our trademarks; you may not use them without our prior written permission.
THE SERVICE AND ALL OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in this Agreement excludes any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NESCIENCE AND ITS OFFICERS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE OR ANY OUTPUT.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THIS AGREEMENT OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE LIABILITY, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so some may not apply to you, and nothing in this Agreement limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nescience and its officers, members, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of this Agreement or any law or the rights of any third party.
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, including if we believe you have violated this Agreement. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing in this Section deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country in which you reside, where applicable law gives you that right. You and we agree that any dispute will be resolved on an individual basis, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
We may update this Agreement from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Effective date" above and take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Agreement.
