Effective date: June 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Nescience LLC ("Nescience," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information in connection with the Prompt Wrangler browser extension, the promptwrangler.ai website, and related features (together, the "Service").
This Policy is incorporated into and subject to our User Agreement. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy.
For the purposes of the European Union and United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), Nescience is the data controller of personal data processed through the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will delete it.
We aim to collect as little personal information as possible.
a. Prompt and review content. When you ask the Service to review a prompt or improve a response, we process the content you submit so we can generate feedback — including your prompt text, any AI response and complaint you submit for the "improve" feature, and limited context such as which AI tool and model you are using. This content may contain personal information if you choose to include it. Please do not submit sensitive personal information, other people's personal data, passwords, or confidential information you are not authorized to disclose.
b. Settings and consent choices. The extension stores your onboarding status, your data-sharing preference, and — if you provide one — your own AI-provider API key locally in your browser. Your sharing preference, and your API key if you have provided one, are sent to our backend with each request; if you provide a key, it is used to generate your reviews through your own AI-provider account, and we do not store it.
c. Technical and usage data. When the extension communicates with our backend, standard technical information — such as request metadata, IP address, and timestamps — may be processed and logged for security, debugging, and reliability.
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, contact details, or payment information unless you provide them to us directly (for example, by emailing us).
To generate feedback, the extension sends your prompt and context to our backend service, which uses a third-party AI provider to produce the review and return it to you. We do not retain the prompts you submit for review unless you opt in to sharing (see Section 4). Under our AI provider's commercial terms, your content is not used to train AI models.
Sharing your reviewed prompts with us is off by default. During onboarding, and at any time in the Service's settings, you may opt in to share your reviewed prompts so we can analyze and improve the Service. If you opt in, your reviewed prompts and related context may be retained and used by us for that purpose. You can turn sharing off at any time; doing so stops future sharing but does not affect data already processed. Where the law requires consent for this processing, your opt-in is that consent, and you may withdraw it at any time.
We use personal information to:
If you are in the EEA or the UK, we process your personal data on the following legal bases under the GDPR:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising (as those terms are defined under California law). We disclose information only as follows:
We and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. If you access the Service from the EEA, the UK, or elsewhere, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those of your country. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA or the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards required by law, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
We do not retain the prompts you submit for review unless you opt in to sharing. For content you opt in to share, and for technical data, we keep it only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, and then delete or de-identify it. Your local settings remain in your browser until you clear them or uninstall the extension.
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal information, which we honor to the extent applicable law allows. These may include the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data; to data portability; to withdraw consent; and to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. California residents have the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (which we do not do), and to non-discrimination for exercising their rights.
How to exercise your rights. Email us at help@nescience.ai. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and alteration. If you optionally provide your own API key, it is stored only in your browser's extension storage, sent to our backend solely to process your requests, and not stored by us. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Service does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The extension uses your browser's local extension storage to remember your onboarding status, your data-sharing preference, and your API key if you have provided one. The promptwrangler.ai website may use strictly necessary operational storage.
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Effective date" above and take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
For questions about this Policy or to exercise your rights, contact help@nescience.ai.
If you are in the EEA or the UK and have a concern we have not resolved, you may also contact your local data-protection supervisory authority.
